Cynthia is the first born to her family line in several years that could tap into the magic which courses through the land. Not to mention the first female. No one could quite explain how this came to be as so many of her ancestors had to work diligently at the academy and never did amount to much. Her natural ability brought her family up in standing though. She still enjoys working with the research hounds at the academy. She once said, “It’s (research) the only thing that is both challenging and interesting to me.”

Unbeknownst to her and her ancestors, she is really of an extremely prestigious line that harkens back to the crossing. The reason none of them know is because their line is descended of illigiemate children. (~see Mary and family to reference family tree.)
